Count the cars on this old postcard panorama of Low Town at Bridgnorth and Bridgnorth bridge. We can’t spot a single one. Perhaps the photo was taken very early in the morning. As you can see, this is a Salop Steam Laundry van. The laundry was in Shrewsbury so this photo may have been taken in or around the county town. We’re guessing that the date of the photo, which was loaned to us by Shrewsbury transport historian Roy Pilsbury, is soon after World War One.
