Another look at Shifnal of yesteryear thanks to Bob Mountford, of Lower Perthy, Ellesmere. Bob, who hails originally from Shifnal, says this photograph is a confirmation event and they are in front of Shifnal vicarage. Shifnal church is visible in the distance on the left. The date given is March 9, 1933. On the back row, right, is his father Harry Mountford, and next along is Fred Shuker. The young woman standing, second from right, is Bob's mother, Irene Williams, who went as Rene Williams pronounced, says Bob, as "Reen". Bob wonders if anyone can identify the others?
