Teen beauty spot drinkers are ramblers, not rebels
- Dave Burrows
We’re dipping once more into the photo album of Jackfield historian Ron Miles. His caption for this one is: “The last steam train ever to leave Much Wenlock for Wellington. The fireman (without hat) is Terry Thorpe of Dawley. Date July 22, 1962.” He adds: “I was present on this very historic occasion. My children and I had just made the final trip into Wenlock by this very train. We had left Wellington earlier that afternoon.” Funnily enough the date in our archives for the last train is July 21, 1962. We’ll leave it for railways buffs to argue about that one.
