Teen beauty spot drinkers are ramblers, not rebels
- Dave Burrows
These lads in the picture have obviously won some sort of shield. This photograph of the Dawley National School football team was loaned by Mr Richard Wood, of Rockes Meadow, Knighton, who thinks it dates from about 1932. He names them as, on the back row, Mr Donald Wase and headmaster Frank Clayton (at either end), Harry Powell, Donald Martin, Bill Sheward, Leonard Powell. On the middle row: George Shepherd, Jim Lloyd, and Bill Banks. On the front row: Dicky Oliver, Charles Jaundrell, unknown, and unknown.
