Nostalgia Gallery – Week Ending September 4, 2010
Saturday 4th September 2010, 9:00AM BST.
We're in Court Street, Madeley, around the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, although if you went there today you would find a lot that is the same. That does not include, of course, Smith's fish, fruit and potato stores. This photo is from an unpublished history of Ironbridge written by the late Len Beeston.

Really enjoy the Shropshire Star nostalgia pictures, so glad they are available on your website as I live in Oliver British Columbia Canada but grew up in Shropshire. Have great memories of Ironbridge and Coalbrookdale as far back as I remember, therefore I am very interested in the unpublished history of Ironbridge by the late Len Beeston – Is there any possibility of obtaining a copy. Also would like to know who I could contact re old photos of the Coalbrookdale company staff 1930 – 1939.
