Join us for a Shropshire wedding from yesteryear, thanks to a photo e-mailed to us by Diana Fulkes, of Wellington, who is working on her family history. It is dated December 26, 1930, and shows the wedding of George Kenneth Brooks and Ioline Lennetta Gwendoline Worrall. Also on the picture, front left, are John and Fanny Brooks, and on the right somewhere, Julia Worrall. The bride was the sister of Mrs Fulkes’ maternal grandfather, Joseph James Sydney Worrall, known as Sydney Worrall. Diana says: “I think the photograph was taken in St Georges. It looks like the back of the houses in Granville Street or West Street – I think it is Granville Street because that’s where the Worralls lived.”
