Smithfield Road refuge rip up to start soon

Work to remove a traffic refuge on a busy road in a Shropshire town should be completed by November.

The work on Shrewsbury’s Smithfield Road, which will cost about £5,000, was agreed by Shropshire Council last week.

The decision follows a series of complaints that have dogged the traffic refuge since it was installed.
