Plans have been lodged with Shropshire Council to convert a dental surgery and two floors of office space at 39 St John's Hill.

Under the proposals, the ground floor and first floor of the building would be converted into one-bedroom flats.

The second floor apartment will also have one bedroom with a second bed on a mezzanine.

The first and second floor flats would be accessed via a shared stairway.

In a report, planners said: "On-street car and cycle parking is located on St John's Hill.

"The site is close to the central bus station and Shrewsbury railway station for connections around Shrewsbury and beyond. The proposed scheme is to convert the existing offices and dental clinic into three apartments.

"The ground floor flat would be entered directly off the front entrance area and would have the benefit of a private garden courtyard."

"The conversion retains the surviving period features such as the cast iron windows and have been designed to be as open plan, light and airy as is possible."
