Watch: Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn delivers exclusive message to the people of Shropshire
The Labour Party has traditionally struggled to capture seats in Shropshire and currently all of the region’s MPs are Conservatives, but Jeremy Corbyn says he is confident the party can win over voters.
In a visit to the Shropshire Star offices, the Labour leader delivered this message to the people of Shropshire as to why they should be voting for him at the next election.
He said: “Vote Labour in order to ensure our schools are properly funded, our hospitals are properly funded, and a social care system that works. But also it is about the future economic direction of this country. Six million people earn less than the living wage.
"Too many industries are under re-sourced and not getting enough investment, so Labour will establish a national investment bank to promote good quality sustainable jobs all over the country and the infrastructure we need to back it up.”
