Man cut from car after crash with bus in Church Stretton

A man had to be cut from a car following a crash with a bus near Church Stretton today.

Emergency services were called to Sandford Avenue shortly before 3pm.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service sent crews from Church Stretton, Craven Arms and Wellington and used cutting equipment to free a man.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 2.51pm to reports of a collision between a car and a bus.

"We are treating one man for back pain."

Drivers were urged to avoid the area.
