The parents of murdered Shropshire teenager Georgia Williams have today released never-before-seen family photographs to mark the launch of text donations to the trust set up in her name.

Steve and Lynnette Williams, from Wellington, Telford, have shared precious pictures from their family albums of their sporty tomboy who blossomed into a beautiful 17-year-old.

"She went from being quite baby faced to looking more grown up almost overnight," said Mrs Williams.

One photograph shows a sleepy Georgia being carried on her father's back aged two on a family holiday in Cornwall.

Another shows Georgia looking all grown up in a black and white dress at a football presentation at the New Bucks Head stadium with her grandmother Jean Dayus and another with her grandfather John Dayus.

Georgia was snapped enjoying her last Christmas with sister Scarlett wearing paper party hats.

And in another photograph she stands proudly next to her father at a chief constables commendation in 2009. Bubbly Georgia was right at the front of a family photograph taken at her grandparents ruby wedding anniversary celebration at the Mytton and Mermaid Hotel in Atcham.

And Georgia and Scarlett wore champagne dresses for the renewal of their parents vows after 25 years of marriage at a reception at the Hadley Park Hotel in Telford. Georgia and her mother posed for a picture together on an evening out on holiday in Spain.

The Shropshire Star has this week launched a text donation service to allow people to give to the Georgia Williams Trust at the touch of a button.

The charity is raising money to help youngsters take part in the type of adventure activities that Georgia enjoyed.

Mrs Williams thanked Shropshire Star readers for giving to the appeal.

"I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported the trust. It just keeps Georgia's memory going and builds on the community spirit through it all now. We really appreciate everything everybody does."

Meanwhile, the first anniversary of the Georgia Williams Trust will be celebrated with the biggest park run the town has ever seen.

Hundreds are expected to go the extra mile for The Great Georgia Park Run in Telford Town Park in June.

More than 200 people have registered to join more than 200 regular park runners to mark the first year of fundraising in the 17-year-old's memory.

Georgia's parents Steve and Lynnette and sister Scarlett will all be getting their running shoes on in tribute to the sporty teenager.

The Ercall Wood and New College student won a host of medals for running and athletics.

Mrs Williams said: "I have never done any running before but I'm doing it for Georgia.

"She would be laughing at me for it but she'd also be very proud."

Chairman of the Georgia Williams Trust, Richard Langton said: "On Saturday, June 7 we will mark the first birthday of the trust with 'The Great Georgia Park Run' which will take place at Telford Town Park at 9am.

"So far we have well over 200 runners taking part, all wearing trust T-shirts, all willing to run 5,000 metres in order to raise awareness and raise funds for the trust."

Telford Park Run's event director: "It will almost certainly be the biggest park run we have ever had in Telford. We regularly get 250 to 300 people turning out every Saturday and that's without another 200 Georgia Williams runners coming.

"But we can accommodate them all. When you cross the finish line you get a finish position token which gives you your time so I when heard about this I ordered another 300.

" I feel absolutely honoured that we are holding the Great Georgia Park Run.

"It's a cause local to everybody who takes part and everyone can relate to it."
