Fire crews tackle chimney blaze at Shropshire house

Fire fighters were sent to tackle a fire at a house near Baschurch.

Crews from Baschurch and Shrewsbury were sent to the scene at Myddle just after 10pm yesterday.

The crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and one covering jet to extinguish the chimney fire which broke out in the bedroom of the property.

The fire service said no injuries were recorded and the caller was advised to leave the property until the fire was extinguished.

Crews left the scene at about 11.15pm.
