Wrexham MP, Ian Lucas was outside the station when the blaze happened.

Mr Lucas said: "I was at the station and noticed a lot of black smoke. By the time I went to investigate there were flames leaping from the front of the bus. It was a very fierce fire."

He said a fire engine was on the scene very quickly.

A spokesman for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: "We had a call at 11.02am. There was a minibus on fire which was caused by a mechanical fault.

"One pump from Wrexham used two hose reels."

There has since been a replacement bus sent to the scene.

It is not clear if there were any passengers on the bus.
