Driver cut free from car after crash with motorbike closes A41 in Shropshire

A driver had to be taken to hospital today following an accident between a car and a motorcycle which closed the A41 in Shropshire.

The man had to be cut from his car by Shropshire Fire and Rescue service before being taken to Royal Stoke Hospital by West Midlands Ambulance Service.

The motorcyclist was also assessed on the scene by the ambulance service.

The accident happened on the A41 at Tern Hill and the fire service closed the road while they dealt with the accident, which happened just before 7am.

West Mercia Police were also in attendance.

The road was closed between the A53 and Warrant Road for almost an hour to keep the area safe while emergency services dealt with the casualties.

It reopened shortly before 8am.
