Man seriously injured in crash near Market Drayton dies

A man who suffered multiple serious injuries after a car crashed down an embankment near Market Drayton has died, police have confirmed.

He was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

Daniel Butler, spokesman for West Mercia Police, said: "On November 27 at approximately 5.05pm West Mercia Police received reports of a collision on the A529 between Adderley and Market Drayton.

"A single car, a Honda Civic, with two occupants was involved.

"One 23-year-old man was taken to the local hospital for shock. A second man was taken to hospital where he later sadly pronounced dead."
