Pictures: Blaze which left car gutted in Wellington being treated as suspicious

A car blaze in the early hours of the morning in a Wellington car park is being investigated by police.

The fire in a 4x4 broke out at 4.30am at the rear of the Market Hall in Duke Street.

The 4x4 was completely destroyed and police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

It also caused some damage to the exterior of a building.

Fire crews from Wellington station used hoses to put out the blaze within 20 minutes.

Anyone with information is ask to contact West Mercia Police on the non-emergency 101 number.

Also this morning a log burner caused a fire in the roof space of a house in north Shropshire.

The fire started just before 9am and firefighters from Prees and Whitchurch were sent to the scene.

Crews removed part of the cavity wall insulation to be able to properly inspect the area at the house in Harvern Gardens in Prees.
