Woman injured as car comes off A49 in Shropshire

A woman was injured when a car left the A49 in Shropshire today.

An ambulance, police and three fire engines were sent to the scene after the small hatchback left the road at the junction for Little Stretton, south of Church Stretton, at about 1.45pm.

Police duty Inspector Joey Coyd said: "The injuries do not appear to be life-threatening."

The fire appliances were sent from Church Stretton, Craven Arms and Wellington.

The vehicle was made safe by the fire service.
