The online event will take place from 6pm-8pm and forms part of Protect 2016, a 10-day scheme show work done carried out by police to protect the public.

Mr Bangham, Deputy Chief Constable Chris Singer, and Assistant Chief Constable Amanda Blakeman will be hosting the live chat, allowing people to ask any question about West Mercia Police.

DCC Singer, who is leading Protect 2016, said: "Ensuring the public we serve have opportunities to talk to us and ask us questions is vitally important.

"We regularly engage with our communities and aim to use a range of formats to make us as accessible to you as possible.

"By hosting this online forum we hope to give those of you who are unable to attend community events, for example, another platform to engage with us and on this occasion you can even do it from the comfort of your own home.

"We'd like to hear from you and I look forward to responding to your questions and speaking to all those who choose to take part."

To get involved, visit the West Mercia Police website, 6pm and 8pm, on Wednesday and follow the instructions on the screen. Users can also remain anonymous and all answers and questions will be posted in the force's website.

Those who can't join in but who have a question can email webchat@westmercia.pnn.police.uk and the questions will be put to the officers.

All the questions and answers will be put on the force website after the event.
