Rachael Lye, from Newdale, said she was injured in an accident that happened on the roundabout off Station Road in Oakengates.

The 25-year-old said she was driving her red Vauxhall Corsa from the direction of the town's railway station when she was involved in an accident with a silver BMW.

She said: "I suffered bruising up to my hip, have had spasming in my back and stomach and I can't sit down for long periods of time."

The accident happened shortly after 8pm on Friday.

Fire crews from Telford Central were called to the scene to make the area safe.

Claire Brown, a spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said they sent one ambulance to the incident where they dealt with two patients, one who was walking wounded and the second who was suffering with a hip injury and was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital.
