Fordhall Farm, near Market Drayton, currently has 400 pumpkins on sale.

And two of the biggest were placed on the driveway to advertise the sale, but both were stolen overnight.

This is the second time in three years that the promotional pumpkins have been stolen from the farm's entrance.

Ben Hollins, who runs the business with his sister Charlotte, said: "Unfortunately for the second time in three years, we have had our promotional pumpkins stolen from the farms entrance by the A53.

"The pumpkins were stolen during the night, they will be easy to identify as they have £2 written on them with permanent marker - which makes you wonder what use they are to anyone.

"If anyone knows of their whereabouts please let us know.

"We now hope it does not affect our advertising for our Halloween event this Sunday where pumpkin carving is due to be one of the most popular activities.

"On the bright side we still have over 400 pumpkins for sale at the farm shop for you come and pick from.

"Sizes vary from small ones ideal for making little soup bowls to large ones much bigger then you will find in any supermarket."
