Woman taken to hospital after car rolls over into field near Oswestry

A woman was taken to hospital this morning after her car rolled over and ended up in a field near Oswestry.

Emergency services were called to the B5009, at Whittington, at about 7.55am.

Four fire engines were sent to the scene from Oswestry and Wellington, and West Midlands Ambulance Service also attended.

The 24-year-old driver managed to get out of the vehicle herself and is not believed to have been seriously injured.

She was taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital as a precautionary measure.

Meanwhile, a car left the road and rolled over, landing on its roof, near Much Wenlock today.
