Police appeal after woman cut free from car which had crashed into hedge near Shrewsbury

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was cut free from a crash which closed the A458 in Shropshire.

The crash, which involved two cars, took place between Cressage and Cross Houses and led to police closing the road from around 9.30am on Thursday, August 25.

West Mercia Police said the crash had involved a red Ford Focus and a Citroen C3.

Both vehicles were driving toward Shrewsbury.

The Citroen C3 left the carriageway and came to rest in a hedge.

The male driver of the Focus was uninjured and the female driver of the C3 was taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital with a spinal injury.
