Pictures: Second man rescued after falling into River Severn in Shrewsbury

Firefighters rescued a man from the River Severn in Shrewsbury in the early hours of Sunday morning - a day after another man was rescued after falling from the Welsh Bridge in the town.

Crews used throw lines and a 9m ladder to rescue the man at the Read Bridge at Coleham Head at about 3.40am today.

Firefighters were sent from Baschurch, Minsterley and Shrewsbury. An operations officer was also in attendance.
