Air ambulance called as car ends up in ditch near Oswestry

A patient has been taken to hospital after a car ended up in a ditch near Oswestry.

The accident happened at Bronygarth near Weston Rhyn at 1.30pm today when a car left the road and ended up in a ditch.

A Midlands air ambulance and a land ambulance went to the scene at Pentre Newydd.

"The accident was not as serious as at first thought and a land ambulance took one patient to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for checks," Claire Brown from West Midlands Ambulance Service said.
