Man killed in crash with lorry near Newport is named

A man who died in a crash outside Newport has been named as Raviram Ramesh.

The 22-year-old, from Bristol, was killed when the Black Citroen C3 he was driving along the A41 was involved in a collision with a white Scania Lorry while travelling between Newport and the M54.

The crash, which happened on June 17, took place shortly after 6.05pm close to the junction with the B5314.

Now police are appealing for anybody who saw the crash to come forward.

Paul Roberts, of West Mercia Police, said: "One week on, police would like to hear from anybody who may have been travelling in the area at the time, or saw either vehicle in the moments leading up to the collision.

"If you have information that may be helpful, please call 101 and quote incident number 659s of 17 June."
