Firefighters from Shrewsbury helped engineers to take the turbine down at Shrewsbury Road in Cressage, near Much Wenlock.

They were called to the scene at about 6.45pm on Sunday.

A spokeswoman from Shropshire Fire and Rescue said: "One wind turbine was reported as unstable from the stormy weather so was lowered using straining wires and man power."

Crews left the scene at about 7pm.
