Explosions and fire at Telford substation
Small explosions and fire broke out at a Telford substation last night.

The electricity substation in Wantage, Telford, was attended by Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service before Western Power were left to deal with the blaze and explosions.
One fire crew from Tweedale was mobilised shortly before 9.40pm last night.
According to the fire service, the scene involved a link electricity pillar, a small fire and small explosions.
However, no action was taken by the fire service, who cordoned off the area and made it safe until the power firm attended.
