Two girls, both 14, were arrested in relation to the assault, which saw the Telford Langley schoolgirl kick the boy to the floor after a short argument.

Police have said that one of the girls was given a formal youth caution, which will stay on her record and come up in any DBS checks.

A formal caution involves an admission of guilt.

The other girl was released with no further action to be taken.

West Mercia Police said that after a caution, the school and Telford & Wrekin Council may issue further punishment, such as an expulsion.

The video was posted on social media and was viewed tens of thousands of times before it was removed.

Filmed by onlookers, others can be heard laughing in the background as the young boy is kicked to the floor.

Just one share of the video had been seen more than 24,000 times before being removed, and it was shared by dozens of people on the evening of the assault.
