Teen left needing 12 stitches after attack outside Shrewsbury takeaway

A teenager was left needing 12 stitches in his nose after two men were attacked outside a town centre takeaway.

Police are now appealing for help to trace three suspects who are believed to have carried out the attack outside Efes kebab shop in Castle Foregate, Shrewsbury, on March 26.

West Mercia Police said the victims, aged 18 and 30, were assaulted by a group of three men at about 6.10am.

They were kicked and punched repeatedly.

The offenders are all described as white men. The first is said to be six foot tall, with a bald head and black beard. He was wearing blue jeans and a white shirt.

The second suspect was also six foot tall, of a stocky build with a bald head and a beard.

The final suspect was said to be six foot tall and wearing black clothing. All three are believed to be in their 20s.

They also damaged the car which the victims had been in before making off towards the clock tower.

The victims were taken to the Princess Royal Hospital where the 18-year-old received 12 stitches in his nose.

Officers want to hear from anyone who witnessed the attack or who has any information which could help with the investigation.
