Son accused of stealing £228,000 from Bridgnorth woman

A man has appeared in court accused of stealing more than £228,000 from his 92-year-old mother, who lives in Bridgnorth

David Laurence Kettle, 63, is accused of stealing the money from Joan Kettle.

The charge relates to the alleged theft of £228,575.81 between January 2015 and July 2016.

Kettle, of Crabtree Lane, Bromsgrove, denies theft.

The matter was committed to Shrewsbury Crown Court for a case management hearing next month.

Kettle was granted conditional bail when he appeared before Telford magistrates yesterday.
