Wallet stolen from ambulance during call to Shropshire patient

A wallet and property belonging to paramedics was stolen from an ambulance while on call to a patient in Shropshire.

It is one of a number of thefts and burglaries which have taken place in the county in recent weeks.

The theft took place in Station Road, Albrighton, between 8.45pm and 9.40pm on January 6.

In other thefts, a house in Shifnal was broken into while the family slept between 1.30am and 3am on Wednesday.

Car keys were among items taken and a grey Ford Mustang was stolen from the driveway.

The car was later found in Stafford Road, Wolverhampton, and a suspect was detained.

Last week, between January 4 and 5, an attempt was made to break into a house in Whitley Gardens in Highley.

Doors were damaged but no one entered the property.

A farm in Crackley Bank, Shifnal, was also raided between 6pm on January 4 and 8am on the next day and a large quantity of power tools were among items stolen.

Between 6pm and 6.45pm on Sunday, a barn in Grindle Road near Kemberton was damaged.

Gates, shutters and doors were damages and various power tools including a compactor plate, hydraulic breaker, jack hammer and cable rollers were removed.

Heating oil was also stolen from a tank at a farm at The Botholt, Six Ashes, between 4pm on Tuesday January 10 and the next morning.

During the same time period heating oil was also stolen from a property at Tuckhill, Six Ashes.
