Shrewsbury man, 26, on child sex charges

A 26-year-old Shropshire man has appeared in court accused of a string of sex offences.

Daniel Morris is accused of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child and faces three charges of inciting a girl under the age of 16 to engage in sexual activity.

He also faces three charges of possessing extreme pornographic images involving animals and one count of sending tweets and images of an indecent matter.

The offences allegedly took place between October 2015 and April last year.

Morris, 26, of Horsebridge in Minsterley, near Shrewsbury, did not indicate any pleas to the charges when he appeared at Telford Magistrates Court on Monday.

The case was committed to Shrewsbury Crown Court where Morris is due to appear for a plea and directions hearing on February 6.

He was granted conditional bail until the hearing.
