Telford murder: Pensioner to face trial next year accused of killing his wife Belen Tripp

A pensioner accused of killing his wife Belen Tripp in Telford will stand trial next year.

Peter Tripp, 70, is accused of the murder of his 52-year-old wife, who died after being found with stab injuries at a property in Sixth Avenue, Ketley Bank on November 15.

A hearing at Birmingham Crown Court today was held in Tripp's absence after he was too unwell to leave his cell.

The matter was adjourned and the trial will be heard in May.
