Man wanted over pensioner bag snatch in Telford

A 75-year-old woman had her handbag stolen from round her arm in Telford.

On November 16 at about 10.25am a man approached the woman on the pathway between the Park Lane Centre and the Medical Centre.

He took hold of her handbag and aggressively pulled it until its shoulder strap broke, the woman then fell to the ground and shouted out.

The man then seized the bag and ran.

The small black handbag contained a number of personal effects including a tan leather purse, a large sum of cash, bank cards, store cars and a bus pass, a white metal credit card holder, an asthma inhaler

and a diary.

West Mercia Police would like to talk to the man in the photos as they believe he may be able to assist with enquiries.
