Luke Hornett had denied the allegations but was convicted of 18 charges of making indecent images over a six year period.

The jury at Shrewsbury Crown Court also convicted 31-year-old Hornett of a charge of being in possession of extreme pornographic images of beastiality following a three-day trial.

Hornett, of Talisman Drive, Shrewsbury, was said to have committed the offences on dates between May 2008 and May 2014.

Judge Jim Tindal adjourned sentence until November 11 for reports and Hornett was allowed bail.

The jury had heard the images - described as being "fairly bleak" - included movies and material in all categories of seriousness.

In May 2014 police went to his address in Talisman Drive to be told by the defendant's parents that he no longer lived there and had moved to an address in Hertfordshire where officers later seized a number of devices, including a computer tower with four separate hard drives, an external hard drive, a USB stick and a laptop.

At the time Hornett was sharing a house with a friend who had earlier told the jury that he was never suspicious of any of Hornett's computer activity.

Hornett had claimed that he did not create the images and that up to 50 other people could have been responsible for the material found by police two years ago.

He said he had always been interested in computers and was self-taught and had often build and repaired devices for other people and claimed he only became aware of the material when the police came to his home.
