Martyn Tucker, 70, admitted 28 further offences of indecent assault or gross indecency involving another eight youngsters between 1967 and 1985.

Mold Crown Court heard at the time of the original hearing that some offences were carried out when he was assistant scout master of the Whitchurch scout troop.

Tucker also carried out abuse while he was the manager of Fosters menswear in the town, taking boys to the shop's changing rooms.

He was arrested at his home in Sealand Road, Chester, in the wake of the Jimmy Savile scandal when one of his victims made a complaint to police.

Mold Crown Court was told that his campaign of abuse offences were "of the vilest kind".

Tucker is already serving a 12-year sentence, and was told that on release his licence would be extended by a year.

His co-defendant Malcolm Gould, 69, admitted indecent assault on one of Tucker's victims and was jailed for three years.

In 1981, Gould, a former deputy headteacher, was jailed for three years at for sexual offences against boys when he ran a football team.

The court was told "statements of complaint" from new victims had been generated as a result of the publicity which surrounded the previous case which was heard in May 2014.

One victim said that in 1971, when he was 11 or possibly 12, he joined Whitchurch scout group where Tucker was one of the leaders.

At that time Tucker worked at Fosters menswear in Whitchurch.

In the summer of 1972 he went on a canoeing trip and slept in his sleeping bag, with Tucker in the sleeping bag next to him. When he woke in the night Tucker was abusing him.

In October 1972 he went on a scout-organised caving trip to a farm in Pontybodkin, North Wales, and again woke in the night to find Tucker abusing him.

He said that in May 2014 he saw the front page of the Shropshire Star about Tucker being sentenced for historical sexual abuse.

He bought the paper before going home where he broke down.

Another victim told how he was sexually assaulted by Tucker who warned him: "It's either you or your brother."

The court was told that on another occasion Tucker told a group of scouts that the best way to keep warm would be to strip naked and to get into the sleeping bags together.

Tucker then went from sleeping bag to sleeping bag.
