North Wales Police today confirmed there was no update following the search for an unidentified body, which launched in May.

A search was made of a smallholding at Henlle, near Gobowen, and divers searched the nearby Llangollen Canal during a month-long operation, while forestry near Bwlchgwyn, Wrexham was also searched.

In July the force said that the search, which involved specialist "cadaver" police dogs, police search team specialists and forensic experts, was suspended, with detectives hoping further information from the public could assist them in identifying a more specific location in the large expanse of forestry.

At the time officers who had been part of the search operation said they wanted to hear from anyone who knows a Nathan or Michael from the Wrexham area who has not been seen for five years.

Anyone who may have information should contact North Wales Police on 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or at crimestoppers-uk.org
