New witness appeal after car hits three people in Shropshire

A further appeal for witnesses has been made after a car struck three people in Shropshire.

A 32-year-old man suffered head injuries, a broken leg and a broken arm.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where he is currently in a critical but stable condition.

Another pedestrian, a 45-year-old man, was treated at Worcestershire Royal Hospital for grazing to his knee and shin. He was later discharged.

The third pedestrian was unhurt in the collision, which happened at at about 2.20am on Sunday and also involved a silver Audi A4.

West Mercia Police said a man, aged 19, from Kidderminster, was arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle dangerously and was given police bail until October 24.

Collision investigators have appealed for witnesses to the incident or the moments prior to the collision to contact them on 101.
