Teenager hurt in fight outside Telford club

A teenager needed stitches to his face after a fight outside a nightclub in Telford.

The fight broke out on Tan Bank in Wellington, near Pussycats Nightclub, at just after 3am on Sunday. A 17-year-old boy was assaulted and suffered injuries including a cut to his right eye that required several stitches.

Police spokesman Chris Ammonds said: "Police were at the scene of the fight very quickly and those individuals involved immediately dispersed in various directions.

"Although the disorder did not last long due to the arrival of officers, it appears that at some point during the course of it the 17-year-old man was hit with an implement of some sort, causing the cut to his face.".
