School shut and homes without water because of burst pipe in Telford

A burst water pipe in Telford has resulted in pupils being sent home from a school,and homes being left without water.

Redhill Primary School is among the properties affected by the burst pipe, on Gatcombe Way, Priorslee.

Severn Trent Water said:"This afternoon we have located a burst water pipe on Priorslee Road, Dawley in Telford, TF2 and TF3 which maybe causing water supplies to be off or at low pressure for some of our customers. We know how difficult it is to have no water, and we're sorry for the inconvenience this may be causing. We'd like to reassure customers that we're doing all we can to get the water supplies back on as soon as we can."
