Stoke Heath Prison inmate died after being taken ill, inquest told

An inmate at Stoke Heath prison died after being taken ill, an inquest heard.

The hearing was opened into the death of 55-year-old Paul Jarvis at Telford & Wrekin Register Office in Wellington.

Mr Jarvis, of Wellington Road, Llandrindod Wells, died at Telford's Princess Royal Hospital on December 15 last year after being taken ill.

The inquest heard a post-mortem was carried out but the cause of death is yet to be ascertained.

Shropshire coroner John Ellery adjourned the inquest for further inquiries to be made.

It is expected to resume at the Shirehall in Shrewsbury on May 24.
