Series of overnight closures on M54 in Shropshire
Overnight closures for parts of the M54 will start tonight to allow for road repairs and drainage work. The first closure is from 8pm to 6am from today to Sunday on the westbound carriageway between Junctions 5 for Telford central and Junction Six for Telford east.
A spokesman for Highways England, which is carrying out the work, said diversion routes will be put in place and clearly signposted.
There will also be drainage work on the westbound carriageway between Junctions 3 for Wolverhampton west and Junction 4 for Telford east. The closure will include the entry slip road at Junction 3. As a result the stretch will be closed overnight between 10pm and 6am from Thursday to Saturday.
More drainage work means that the eastbound section from Junction 4 for Telford east to Junction 3 for Wolverhampton west will be closed from 10pm to 6am from today to Thursday.
Diversion routes will be clearly signposted for the work.
