The proposal for change of use to create the Adventure Activity Facility at Market Place, Battlefield, has been approved by Shropshire Council's planning officers.

The centre will include a boulder wall with a beginners' section, a "clip and climb" facility for children, a beginners' and intermediate roped wall activity, and "Psicobloc", made up of an eight-metre-high wall for experienced climbers.

The application, which was approved under delegated powers, said the site would create 10 jobs.

It stated: "The intended use will provide activities for all ages and degrees of skill and will provide a dedicated facility for those involved in rock climbing ventures."

It will also include a training area, classroom and café.
