Lorry crash partially blocks A49 in Shropshire

A crash between a lorry and two cars partially closed the A49 in Shropshire today.

Police were called at about 3.30pm yesterday to Ashford Bowdler, near Ludlow.

The road was partially blocked and there was slow traffic in both directions near the B4361 junction.

Holly Claydon-Bevan, organisational communications assistant for West Mercia Police, said: "We were called at 3.32pm this afternoon to reports of a collision between a lorry and two cars on the A49, Ludlow, at the beginning of the Ludlow bypass.

"Ambulance and fire service were also in attendance."
