A full quota of speakers has now been signed up for the debate on the forthcoming EU referendum.

The debate will be held at Ludlow Methodist Church on Broad Street, from 7pm.

Speaking in favour of the UK staying in the European Union will be both current Mr Dunne and his predecessor Matthew Green.

Speaking for Britain's exit from the EU will be Denis Allen, Ukip councillor for Telford and Wrekin, and David Kelly, who was Ludlow parliamentary candidate for Ukip in last year's general election.

The meeting will be chaired by current Mayor of Ludlow, Paul Draper.

Organiser Peter Sell said: "Each speaker will take it in turns to do a brief presentation on why they think we should be in or out, and then we will throw the meeting open to questions and I'm sure debate will follow.

"I think it's really important that people start to get the facts on the matter – not just the two sides having a go at each other – with the opportunity to put questions to individual speakers on what might be done."

The referendum itself will be held on Thursday June 23.
