CCTV: Police release images of man they want to quiz in connection with Telford stabbing

Police have released images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a stabbing in Telford.

The man is seen on CCTV footage at the Whitehouse Hotel in Wellington shortly after midnight on April 15.

Police are still investigating a fight on Woollam Road, Arleston at 11.46pm on April 14 and believe he may have vital information.

Officers were called following a report of a group of men fighting in the street.

A 32-year-old man from Telford received stab wounds to his chest during the incident.

He was treated in hospital and has since been discharged and is expected to make a full recovery.

Two men have been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with the incident.

Shaquil Sheamus Sultan, aged 19, of Manor Road, Telford, and Mohammed Kabir Zaman, aged 27, of Victoria Avenue, Telford, appeared at Telford Magistrates Court on April 18, where their solicitors indicated that the men would plead not guilty to the charges.

They appeared at Telford Magistrates Court on April 18 and were remanded in custody and will appear at Shrewsbury Crown Court on May 16.

A 16-year-old boy and a 32-year-old man, both from Telford, were arrested on April 26 on suspicion of violent disorder and have since been bailed until the end of May while investigations continue.
