Davis Cup is coming back to Shropshire

The Davis Cup will be returning to Shropshire next month.

It will be the second time the cup has come to the county, after making a stop in Shrewsbury earlier this year.

The Davis Cup was lifted by the Great Britain team – including Andy and Jamie Murray – in November last year and the win was Great Britain's first Davis Cup victory in 79 years.

On May 7, The cup will be at Monkmoor Recreation Centre in Shrewsbury before being taken to Telford's Tennis Centre in Oakengates.

On its last visit, tennis fans lined up in order to take pictures with the prize.
