Emily Pit, bridal hairstylist from Bridgnorth, and Natalie Ravenscroft a Shrewsbury make-up artist, will be doing all they can to raise the money.

The pair will take on a host of challenges as they bid to try to raise the sum over the next 12 months.

Emily said: "This year marks 25 life saving years for the charity.

"Each mission costs £2,500 and it costs £7 million per year to keep all three air ambulances operational.

"We are hoping to hold a big charity wedding fayre, charity evenings, raffles, pub quizzes, auctions, coffee mornings, and sponsored events such a sky dives."

The pair are now appealing for more help in getting sponsorship and donations of raffle prizes for future fundraisers.

Emily added: "We would really appreciate as much support as possible."

The work by the two women will compliment the Midlands Air Ambulance's own year of fundraising, which includes a garden party at Hagley Hall where the charity's first helicopter was launched in 1991.
