Police found Harry's body in a 40-metre crevasse almost a fortnight after he went missing in the Peruvian Andes.

Experienced outdoorsman Harry, from Bronygarth, near Oswestry, was last seen on April 7 when he set out on a solo mountain hike, two days before his 29th birthday.

On The Search For Harry Facebook page his family wrote: "Harry we love you and will never let your light fade from our lives xxx"

Babanogi Wyn posted: "Harry has touched many of us with his gentle nature and beautiful smile - we all carry his spirit within us -we are all better people for having known him. He will be missed so deeply. My heart goes out to Harry's family and close friends. Blessings of comfort to you having to experience such a great loss. It is heart-wrenching to process this information and I can only hope that when a young person who had such a godly nature when he walked on this earth is taken away, it is because his Spirit has more important work to do elsewhere. We are more than just our bodies. He is truly one in a million. His Spirit lives on."

One of his university friends, Alex Cunningham, said: "We will always love you and hold you dear to our hearts. You were one of the best people I've ever known. Kind, considerate, caring and outgoing. You always did what was right and stood by your friends through thick and thin. I unfortunately only met your family the once during our time at university. All my love and thoughts go to them. I'll miss you mate."

Zee Zerrin Kellam added: "There are no words, I can't believe that as friends we have to share this awful news... just sadness & tears. May beautiful Harry rest in peace lifted high by all the love & light of his family & friends.Thinking of our dear friend & all the family at this heartbreaking time in their lives."

One of Harry's former teachers, Donna Cliftlands, wote: "As others have said... It was a huge privilege to know Harry. As a teacher it was such a pleasure to teach him all those years ago - funny, clever and so thoughtful. Clearly remembered for his wonderful desire to make beautiful furniture... So very very sad for his loss. My thoughts are with his family. X"

I was looking forward to getting together again, and I missed my chance. May your soul be happy, and may your loved ones take comfort one day in knowing that God wanted to take you home early. We'll never know why. Safe travels dear soul xxx"
