Lee Cooper, 22, formerly of Whitchurch and now of Wallace Drive, Bilston, admitted wounding Brandon Black with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm.

Cooper also admitted possessing an article with a blade or point when he appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday.

Judge Jim Tindal called for reports and adjourned sentencing until April 15.

The judge said it was a possibility he could be persuaded not to impose immediate custody.

The court heard the stabbing happened after a group of men went to Cooper's home.
